The Fulmer snaffle is a loose ring variation of the full cheek bit.
The rings allow for more movement in the horse’s mouth, which is ideal for horses that need the support of a full cheek but also have a tendency to lean or fix on the bit. This bit can be used with keepers on the bridle to help keep the cheeks in position. The side shanks assist with steering and applies pressure across the lips and bars of the mouth.
The Elliptical Link Snaffle Bit has a rounded central piece and therefore gentler in the horses mouth. A popular bit across multiple disciplines as it is easier accepted by most horses. The elliptical mouth reduces pressure on the tongue and bars of the mouth as well as the palate.
Elliptical mouths encourage a softer contact.
