Stainless steel Eggbutt snaffle with an elliptical link
The single joint of this bit creates pressure on the tongue, the roof and the bars of the mouth. The eggbutt cheeks keep the bit more “fixed” in the horse's mouth than a loose ring snaffle. This bit is more suited to horses who struggle to maintain a consistent contact, such as young horses or those with sensitive mouths. The elliptical link is gentle and has no sharp sides. The joint creates less of an angle with the rest of the mouthpiece. The snaffle encourages the horse to relax its jaw and chew the bit whilst greater movement of the snaffle is enabled through the elliptical link. There is no nutcracker action due to the central link, creating a continuous feel from one side to the other. Ideal for horses who dislike nut cracking jointed mouthpieces.
